Ant-Man (2015) Full Movie Watch Online Free

Parents need to know that Ant-Man is a Marvel Studios/Disney superhero film (based on a Stan Lee comic) that's tied into the rest of the "Marvel-verse." While audiences familiar withAvengers-related movies will have an advantage, it's not necessary to be a Marvel fan to enjoy the film, which stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. There's definitely plenty of action/sci-fi violence -- from fist fights to shoot-outs to a few gory deaths in which the human (or animal) victim turns into gelatinous goo -- but overall this adventure is on the tamer end of the Marvel movie scale. Occasional bursts of language (mostly "s--t," "ass," and "damn") are peppered throughout the dialogue, and there are a couple of suggestive jokes/references, but there's only one (brief) kissing scene and very little drinking. The hero and his young daughter are sometimes separated, which could upset younger kids, but she's never in extended peril. Like Guardians of the Galaxy, this action adventure is full of humor, with some edgy jokes that will go over younger kids' head.

Movie Review:

Ah, the Minions! Those lovable, loyal yellow creatures have warmed their way into many hearts since we first met them in “Despicable Me.” But have you ever wondered where Minions come from?
Minions have been around since the beginning of time. Whether it was working for the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex or even Napoleon Bonaparte, Minions have always needed to serve a master, or the most powerful villain. It’s their nature. Without a master, a minion’s life is apparently unfulfilled.
The year is 1968, and the Minions are left without a master. One of the minions, Kevin, has a brilliant idea, he and his friends, Stuart and Bob, will set out on a journey to find the bad-dest villain of all for the Minions to serve. On their journey, Kevin, Stuart and Bob run into Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock), who tells them that she will allow them to continue to work for her provided they can steal the Queen of England’s crown. Minions is a story of friendship, adventure… and a few bananas.
Call me a kid at heart, but I for one have always been a fan of the Despicable Me franchise. While somewhat juvenile and childlike as the franchise may be, the films always contained enough humor to satisfy both the children AND the adults.
Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who felt this way, as inevitably following “Despicable Me 2,” Universal and Illumination determined it was time to focus on the minions for once. Inevitable? Yes. Necessary? No. Successful? Well…
I’ll be frank. Establishing a film entirely based on the Minions is a risk. In my recollection, I had seen this done once with the Shrek franchise, as similarly when Shrek’s stories ended, a supporting character, Puss in Boots, had a film entirely based on him, From my perspective, it seemed to work.
Can I say the same for “Minions”? Well yes, I can. While they’re may not be a lot of “heart and sentimentality” to the movie, there sure is a lot of slapstick humor. Some appropriate, some not. But behind all the “shtick” lies a story of loyalty and friendship, and in a small way, and by the end of the movie, a sort of love for these yellow guys that can be felt by the audience. During tonight’s showing, I found myself laughing and cheering on these yellow guys, as even though they serve villains, they themselves aren’t necessarily as bad as their masters.
On top of that, from a cinematic perspective, Minions has a lot going for it. Sandra Bullock gives a stellar performance to the two sided, somewhat psychotic Scarlet Overkill, as does Jon Hamm in his role as Herb (Scarlet’s husband). The animation, also, was simply amazing, as one would expect from Illumination Entertainment.

Content for Concern

Violence: Moderate. At the beginning of the film, we see the minions’ various masters being accidentally killed in various ways (one is eaten by a bear, Napoleon is shot by a cannon, a T-Rex falls into lava, etc.). During a contest to see who will be Scarlet’s Overkill’s henchman (by means of snatching the ruby out of her hand), we see her punch, kick, and wrestle wanna-be henchman to the ground. Stuart is seen being hit in the crotch with a pole. There is also a scene where Kevin, Stuart and Bob are being tortured, unsuccessfully, by having their bodies stretched (however, they are not hurt or feel it). The three minions are seen being killed in a bedtime story. There is also a car chase scene, following a robbery by a family of robbers and the minions, where we see Stuart use a rocket launcher to take out a water tower, which causes the police cars to crash.
Language: Minor. The Minions don’t speak English and so there really isn’t much language worth mentioning. The worst includes the words “heck,” “gosh” and “blimey.”
Sex/Nudity: Moderate. There are several instances where we see minions’ rear ends. One minion is seen wearing a thong on his way to the pool; when he arrives at the pool, he is seen making out with two yellow fire hydrants. Kevin Stuart and Bob are seen dressing up as a woman in one scene, and Stuart pokes his eyes out around the woman’s chest area. There is a urination joke, as well as a scene where a couple is kissing. Some guards, once hypnotized, are told to dance, and they strip down to their underpants
Other: Be aware that crime is shown in a positive light. Dinosaurs are depicted as existing millions of years before man’s appearance. One minion is shown drinking a martini.

Spiritual Themes

“Minions” contains various positive themes of loyalty, friendship and even forgiveness. In the film, we watch as Kevin, Stuart and Bob look out for one another, take care and love each other in a brotherly manner.
As Christians, we are called to act in the same manner, setting ourselves apart from the world that, in some respects, promotes self reliance and self-fulfillment. In treating each other the Bible states,
Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing. —Philippians 2:3-4, TLB
As such, we must make company with those who wish help us in our walk with God.
Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts. —2 Timothy 2:22, TLB
Closing Thoughts and Recommendation
Perhaps I was not the target audience in tonight’s early screening of “Minions,” but, as I said earlier, I couldn’t help finding myself laughing with the kids, and, yes, even the teens and adults in attendance. With the objectionable content aside, “Minions” is a colorful and decent prequel to the “Despicable Me” franchise. Parents should be aware of the slapstick violence, glorification of crime (although in a goofy fantasy world), and sexual references previously mentioned.

Review: Monsoon(Adult Movie)

Monsoon is the A-rated movie that has earned the privilege of replacing Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge at Maratha Mandir after a record 20-year run. Naturally, I decided to rush to the nearest seedy hall to analyze its shortcomings.

It continues a disturbing trend-where filmmakers invade a beautiful Indian hill station to shoot their C-grade content, thereby diluting its pure imagery for future tourists like me.

In this Dalhousie-based Ek Chotti Si Love Story-style effort, a 15-year old (Sikh) schoolboy falls for an extremely fashionable 28-year-old married woman. Original, indeed. Her husband is a forest officer who looks destined to be bumped off as soon as he sports a moustache.

The warning bells ring in my head when frame rates of establishing shots are varied to extend sequences. Slow-mo pans, tilts and swoops assault us, not before an elevator version of Christmas hymn Little town of Bethleham serves as the background score for Dalhousie valleys.

When Mrs. Robinson becomes the 'black widow' of this town, schoolboy still dreams about her in ancient states of undress: as a violinist, teacher, car-washer, pedophile and bikini-clad dog-walker, subject to hormones. There is also a villain, with a sidekick who bites his own lips as if he, and not Miss Steele, was trapped in Mr. Grey's Red Room of Pain.

The woman, an object of widespread amorous affection, rarely speaks. How do these actresses not realize that they will end up as clips on adult websites instead of silver screens? Also, who drops their pallus anymore to display cleavage? Haven't these women heard of angled Selfies, or Belfies? Such ancient Penthouse modes of titillation. Even erotica here is still stuck in Savita-Bhabhi mode.

Catch real films with similar themes instead, The Reader, or locally, the underrated BA Pass.

Review Time

“The city is flying, we’re fighting robots — and I’ve got a bow and arrow.” – Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye giving a recruitment talk of sorts to Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Any time a giant superhero movie makes time for self-referential humor, not to mention nods to “A Long Day’s Journey Into Night” AND the graffiti artist known as Banksy, count me in.
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is a sometimes daffy, occasionally baffling, surprisingly touching and even romantic adventure with one kinetic thrill after another. It earns a place of high ranking in the Marvel Universe.
Rarely has a comic book movie struck such a precise balance between legitimate character development, crackling good humor, genuine peril and good old-fashioned big-screen entertainment.
The thing about these all-star Marvel superhero movies is they’re incredibly complicated and often convoluted — but exceedingly simple at the same time.
Somewhere along the way, one is almost certain to get dizzy from all the talk about Loki’s scepter and infinity stones and artificial intelligence and the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the grand scheme of things — but you know it’s all going to come down to a mega-battle in which the forces of good go up against the forces of evil, who always seem intent on blowing up the whole darn planet.
Writer-director Joss Whedon has the vibranium touch (that’s a good thing, I think) when it comes to striking the box-office-gold balance between appealing to the casual summer movie fan as well as the hardcore, cosplaying, “I’m going to spend Tuesday AND Wednesday on comment threads” fanboys and fangirls.
And that’s why this movie will gross somewhere between $1 billion and $2 billion before the start of football season.
At times, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” gets so dense with the plot machinations, I was reaching for the Advil to stop the pounding in my head. Just as often, I sat back, adjusted the 3-D glasses and enjoyed the cutting-edge special effects, the elaborate battle sequences and the “Oceans 11”-type banter among Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and company.
By the house of Odin, who knew the Mighty Thor was so funny? He’s the life of the party in a scene where his fellow Avengers attempt to lift his hammer, to hilarious results.
“Age of Ultron” starts in the Eastern European nation of Sokovia, where one Baron Wolfgang von Strucker (Thomas Krestschmann) has been using Loki’s scepter to conduct evil experiments. His prize subjects are the twins Pietro/Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who can move faster than the human eye can fathom, and Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who can literally get into your mind and also has a kind of Carrie-esque ability to ruin a party.
The twins hate the Avengers, and they really love each other. In a different movie, that relationship would be fodder for deep therapy. Then again, everyone in THIS movie needs five sessions a week and then some.
After the Avengers gain control of the scepter, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr., in prime quipping form) and Bruce Banner (the always excellent Mark Ruffalo) seize the opportunity to use it create a new, elevated form of artificial intelligence.
Bad idea.
The result is Ultron (voiced by James Spader), who is perhaps more powerful and smarter than anything the Avengers have ever encountered, and here’s the really bad news: Ultron believes the only way for the planet to evolve is for the Avengers, and most of the human race, to perish.
With a running time of 142 minutes, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has the luxury of devoting time to subplots involving Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), not to mention a beat or two for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes and Claudia Kim’s Helen Cho. There’s a little bit of family drama, a sprinkling of romance and a startling reminder many of these superheroes aren’t immortal.
Some of the sharpest exchanges are between Tony Stark and Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, who is literally from a bygone generation and has some major problems with Stark’s philosophies. We also get the obligatory wisecracking among the superheroes even when they’re in the middle of battle, but Whedon knows when to pull back on the barbs and acknowledge that every time these flying maniacs do battle with armies of evil, the collateral damage in human lives could number in the millions.
There’s also a weird, trippy sequence more suited to a horror movie than a comic book adventure, with Thor, Cap and Black Widow individually experiencing some really heavy lucid dreams. It’s pretty bizarre and pretty great.
Marvel veterans Downey, Hemsworth, Ruffalo et al. deliver their usual stellar work. “Avengers” newbies Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany (as Jarvis and then some) deliver fine performances. And other than a few moments when I just didn’t buy the Hulk (why is the Hulk so hard to CGI?), the special effects are spectacular.
Some day, an “Avengers” film might collapse under the weight of its own awesomeness. I mean, how many times can they save the world?
But this is not that day.

Movie Review:

Making a film is no easy task and making one that boasts of being India's costliest and grandest film till date on both budget and scale, definitely is a humongous challenge. But director S.S. Rajamouli attempts just that with his film BAHUBALI - THE BEGINNING, which is the first of a two part series that promises to be a saga that will most definitely go down the annals of history.

Starting off, the story of BAHUBALI follows the life of Sivudu (Prabhas) who lives a rather solitary life all but cut off from the rest of civilization. Smuggled from his kingdom and raised by Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan) in a different tribe, Sivudu fills his days scaling mountains and their likes, unaware of his noble lineage. One fateful day Sivudu encounters Avanthika (Tamannaah Bhatia) who is a master assassin from a rebel group that intends on crushing King Bhallala Deva (Rana Daggubatti) of Mahishpati and rescuing Devasana (Anushka Shetty). However despite Shivudu understanding nothing of it, he decides to assist the rebels in their cause since he is smitten by the stunning Avantika who tells him that she is sworn to protect Devasana, who is none other than late King Amarendra Bahubali's wife, Sivudu's mother and also Bhallala Deva's sister-in-law. Setting off on his journey to fulfill Avantika's duty, Sivudu moves towards fulfilling his own destiny as BAHUBALI and in process setting in motion a series of events that lead to the second chapter. But will BAHUBALI live up to expectation of being India's grandest films… Lets analyze.

The first half of the film commences detailing Sivudu's life away from the clutches of royalty, along with detailing the characters of Avanthika, King Bhallala Deva, Devasana and Sivagami. While the first 30 or so minutes of the film go in detailing each character, the viewer is left agape at the expanse of the visual effects used. Despite being a bit slow, the story of BAHUBALI soon begins to pick up pace as it progresses to show Sivudu pulled towards his great destiny by an inexplicable urge. However, its post the interval that the film shines with riveting sequences and awe-inspiring action coupled with stunning and by far some of the most advanced visual effects. Director S. S. Rajamouli seems to have quite literally developed a definitive masterpiece, with BAHUBALI seeming to be a thoroughly Indian film with its roots firmly planted in mythology, and yet progressive enough to refrain from the age old cliché of show good is more powerful than evil. In fact here a special mention needs to be added as Rajamouli has focused on developing the antagonist as a much more powerful personality who ultimately is defeated.

Talking about the CGI used in the film, BAHUBALI is easily comparable to the Hollywood greats like THE LORD OF THE RINGS series and even the HARRY POTTER series that featured entire towns, cities and regions artificially developed to look realistic. Compared to the usual Indian standard of CGI work in films, the effort and detail that went into making BAHUBALI is visibly evident in the stunning waterfalls, the spectacular city of Mahishmati, and the sheer cliffs.

However, the high point of BAHUBALI comes in the form of the snowstorm that is seamlessly executed and the 30 minute long battle sequence that will leave the viewer stunned. This fantastically choreographed battle that unfurls when a murderous army lands up at Mahismati's borders sees the two brothers Sivudu and King Bhallala Deva joining forces to defeat a common enemy. Unquestionably the battle sequence that resides as the jewel in Rajamouli's crown is elaborately shot with breathtaking moments. However, the biggest surprise lies in the end when Rajamouli gives the viewers a sneak peek into what to expect from the sequel.

Coming to the performances in the film, the casting of BAHUBALI is just perfect with every actor doing a brilliant job in their respective roles. Here a special mention goes to both Prabhas and Rana, for some outstanding work, especially for Rana who excels in portraying the angry smouldering eyed King Bhallala. Ramaya Krishnan, despite being in a supporting role manages to leave an impact. The other two supporting cast members Nasser and Satyaraj as Bijjaladeva and Kattappa are impressive as well. No Indian storyteller comes close to what S.S. Rajamouli envisions and executes on screen. Writers Madhan Karky, Rahul Koda, Vijayendra Prasad and S.S. Rajamouli have truly written and developed a masterpiece. Every sequence of BAHUBALI is a marvel that can easily be compared to the best of Hollywood. The grandiose sets, VFX, sound, edit, cinematography and most importantly, the screenplay of BAHUBALI is beyond fantastic.

Though after watching the dubbed Hindi version of BAHUBALI one would say that filmmakers should avoid dubbing films in different languages, and rather release the original film with subtitles. While the film does have its share of plot holes with the dubbed dialects going wrong being one of them, BAHUBALI does manage to entertain despite a lengthy run time.

On the whole, despite having a first half that is rather slow, and a ballistic second half, a film like BAHUBALI makes you proud that an Indian filmmaker dared to dream big and accomplished it. BAHUBALI is definitely not to be missed. Call it a box-office blockbuster today, but tomorrow, it will be remembered as a classic.
